Beit Tamanna, to open its doors in the heart of Beirut, to fulfil the wishes of Tamanna’s children across Lebanon
Beit Tamanna, a magical guesthouse in the heart of Gemmayzeh with eight inspiring rooms, and three common spaces, Beirut, opened its doors on January 15, 2023. Conceptualised by 13 renowned Lebanese and international designers and architects, Beit Tamanna offers a window into the realisation of unbounded visions for each of the eight rooms and common spaces of the guesthouse.

Being part of this beautiful initiative to fulfil the wishes of Tamanna’s children across Lebanon is a pleasure for Bokja. The room is imagined from our latest collection Sound of Music. The collection is revealed in the melodic stream of sounds and colours echoing from deep in the valley. Lingering in the beautiful foolishness of things, we learned through play. An ode to life, an ode to joy, an ode to music, an ode to springtime. We assembled these moments into a series of skins to dress our furniture, wallpaper, pillows cherishing collective memories of our childhood.
Spread over 400 wondrous square metres and nestled within traditional Lebanese architecture, Beit Tamanna’s breathtaking guest rooms present their own charming identity. The central spaces, including a living and dining area, have been conceptualised for guests to come together, in an inspiring setting.

The unique model of Beit Tamanna will entail that all proceeds will go towards fulfilling the wishes of critically ill children from the ages of 3 and 18, through the NGO Tamanna.
“Lebanon and its people have witnessed one unprecedented crisis after another, and critically ill children in Lebanon have not been spared. Today, they are even more in need of the chance to dream of a brighter future,” shares Diala El Fil, Founder of Tamanna and Beit Tamanna. “So when the economic crisis hit, Tamanna’s funds vanished, then the blast ripped through our offices. Needless to say, dreams were dimmed, and we needed to ensure viability of the organisation to fulfil wishes… From this starting point, Beit Tamanna was born,” she adds.

Accordingly, Tamanna transformed its offices in Gemmayzeh, into a two-floor magical guesthouse, with a unique financing model, where all proceeds going towards fulfilling the wishes of critically ill children.
Each of the eight guestrooms and common spaces in Beit Tamanna tell a different story, inspired by the dreams and child-like fantasies of the designers and architects. Each space has been brought to life by generous contributions of over 50 donors, suppliers and producers.

The designers and the respective spaces, include:
