We condense and distill moments from the past to make anew through textile. This capture of a sumptuous velvet and gold thread embroidery is one of many luscious iterations of regalia from the Ottoman period which we fracture, distorted and manipulated.
An explosion of roses juxtaposed with fragments of a Buhkara silk Ikat, bringing together the soft lines of flowers with the geometric lines of an Ikat. We condense and distill moments from the past to make anew through textile.
